<



All CVA teachers hold either a baccaloureate or higher degree, have at least 3 years of teaching experience in public or private schools, or have special skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualifies them to provide instruction in subjects taught.
Paula Williamson
Founder & Headmaster

God placed it on Ms. Paula's heart in 1998 to start a private school, Christian Victory Academy. She has served on the Advisory Board for Florida Coalition of Christian Private Schools Accreditation (FCCPSA) for ten years and served on the Panel of Experts at the Florida Parent Educators Association (FPEA) Convention. She opened and managed a homeschool bookstore and led a support group in Orlando for over two years before starting CVA. She is considered an expert in her field. Ms. Paula homeschooled two of her three children for over 14 years. She has three children, six grandchildren, and soon she'll have one great grandchild.

Liz Darnell
Principal

Liz and her husband Tim were called into the education ministry since they began home educating their children in 1989. To this day, ministering to families by offering education opportunities is one of their greatest joys. Liz has taught middle school and high school math for nearly 30 years and has been instrumental in planting Christian schools in Central Florida. She was a board member of FCCPSA, the CVA accrediting agency, for 25 years and has made it her mission to see schools get the training and assistance they need to be accredited.

Lynn Henry
Journey Administrator

Mrs. Lynn was a homeschool mom for over 13 years. She has been involved in every aspect of CVA since 1999. She has been a teacher for over 20 years and is CVA's Elementary and Middle School Administrator. She and her husband Joe have two children and four grandchildren.

Tavious Diamond
Office Manager & Teacher

Tavious Diamond is an esteemed alumnus of Christian Victory Academy, where he received a strong academic and spiritual foundation. He has since gone on to make a significant impact in the lives of children as a ministry coordinator for a local church, where he has served for many years. In this role, in addition to his work in ministry, Tavious has also worked as an IEP advocate for a local company that specializes in working with children with disabilities. Tavious has demonstrated a deep commitment to helping children grow and thrive in their faith.

Shaina Eastman
Administrator & Teacher

Mrs. Shaina graduated from CVA in 2005 and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree from UCF in 2011. She has taught math classes at CVA for over sixteen years and is CVA's Web Administrator. Mrs. Shaina also serves as the Secretary on CVA's Board of Directors. Mrs. Shaina and her husband Eric have one son.

Kariti Barre
Teacher

Mrs. Kariti graduated from CVA in 2006 and Valencia in 2007, earning her A.A. in English. Later she went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree from UCF in 2020 as well as a Certificate in Substitute Teaching. She has taught subjects ranging from Math and Science to History and English as well as Visual Arts in numerous grades for a total of 12 years. She teaches at CVA and runs her own Jewelry business. Mrs. Kariti and her husband, Tyler, have been married for 12 years.

Karen Schkerke

Mrs. Schkerke joined the staff at CVA in 2015 after retiring from Orange County Public Schools where she had spent 15 years teaching English at Boone High School. Prior to that she had spent 10 years teaching all subject areas in K-6 at a private Day Care. Mrs. Schkerke has been married to her husband, Edwin, for 26 years. She has a beautiful step-daughter and three grandchildren.

Sasha Torres
Teacher

Mrs. Sasha graduated from the University Del Turabo in Puerto Rico with a BA in Education. She is fluent in Spanish and English and has taught at Charter and Private schools before staying home to homeschool her 3 boys. She has been married for 13 years and homeschooling for 5 years before joining CVA’s team.

Jan Weirick
Teacher

Mrs. Jan completed her A.S. in business and went on to manage multiple different stores including educational materials. Between classroom teaching and homeschooling her own two daughters Janice has been teaching more than fifteen years. She and her husband Keith, who serves on the CVA Board, have been married 45 years.

Keith Weirick
Teacher

Mr. Keith has a M.A. majoring in Bible. After graduating from Bob Jones University he taught in Christian High Schools for 3 years, teaching Bible, Math and Computer Science. Since then he has been in software development for several different companies including Siemens Energy for 18 years. Keith and his wife Jan have been married 45 years and have two grown daughters, both of whom graduated from CVA.
