Bible Doctrine

By exploring the rich past of the early Christians and the challenges faced by the early church, high school students discover the relevancy of faith in today's world and are encouraged to consider the many questions they will be faced with as they enter adulthood. Lessons not only include biblical studies on the Roman Empire, Israel, Jesus, and other key figures from the Bible, but also teach about friendship, dating, marriage, apologetics, and the revelation. The course units include text-based lessons, on and off-computer exercises, special projects, learning games, quizzes. and tests that appeal to today's digital generation.

English III

A thorough review of grammar rules, an exploration of literary work by American writers, and a focus on research skills highlight this interactive online course for high school students. Building on current language skills, students will be challenged by more challenging concepts and assignments that focus on critical thinking, analysis, and strengthening communication. Required reading for the course includes Our Town, The Old Man and the Sea, and The Book of Revelation. Optional reading and lessons are also included in the curriculum to enrich the course. Geometry

Students enrolled in this online geometry course are guided by a teacher in lessons that discuss simple points, lines, and ultimately complex shapes. Study includes coordinate geometry and isometry. Students will be encouraged to look beyond the obvious and focus on visualization, spatial reasoning, and problem solving from a Christ-centered perspective. Lessons include instruction on the foundation of the Republic, its relationship with England, the Continental Congress, the slave trade, regional lifestyles across the country, the Depression of the thirties, industrialization, the Vietnam conflict, and America today. Communication skills grow as students become increasingly articulate in this pervasive romance language and examine the culture that lies beneath. French II
French II is an advanced two-semester elective that encourages students to further develop reading, writing, speaking proficiencies with adventure-themed lessons that include vocabulary, pronunciation, the parts of speech, sentence patterns, and reading comprehension. The course includes recordings of actual French speakers to strengthen students' communication skills. The course units include text-based lessons, on and off-computer exercises, special projects, learning games, quizzes, and tests that appeal to today's digital generation.
