New Testament Survey

Through the New Testament, Jesus Christ and the authors of the Bible provide knowledge and direction to God's people. In this in-depth study of the 27 books of the New Testament, students will learn about the authors, their lives, their messages, and the relevance of these messages in their lives today. This interactive course also covers the Revelation of Christ and the seven seals, evangelism and outreach, the knowledge of our personal gifts, and God's will for our lives. Through thoughtful discussion and challenging questions, students will be encouraged to look at their lives and their futures from a Christian worldview, and will learn how the history of the Bible affects the world we live in today. The course units include text-based lessons, on and off-computer exercises, special projects, learning games, quizzes, and tests that appeal to today's digital generation.

English I

Students enrolled in this course will take a self-directed course that supports powerful written and oral communication skills as well as reading comprehension. With lessons devoted to proper usage of the parts of speech, the fundamentals of writing, and effective communication in a variety of forms, the course helps students to build their skills for higher level communication. Students will also investigate library resources and visual aids. Required reading for this course includes The Miracle Worker and Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea. The course units include text-based lessons, on and off-computer exercises, special projects, learning games, quizzes, and tests that appeal to today's digital generation.

Algebra I

Throughout this online course, students are guided through the basics of algebra with lessons that focus on functions, linear equations, compound inequalities, exponential expressions, radicals, monomials, trinomials, polynomials, and quadratics. Students are encouraged to use various types of reasoning to formulate and evaluate math problems and solutions. Rooted in fundamentals, this course prepares students for higher-level math concepts. The course units include text-based lessons, on and off-computer exercises, special projects, learning games, quizzes, and tests that appeal to today's digital generation.

World Geography

Traveling the globe has never been more interactive. Ignita World Geography will take students across the U.S. and to the very ends of the earth to learn about the physical geography of each region, its culture and society, and its economics and politics. By looking at the history and implications for the future, students will develop their critical thinking and problem solving skill while getting a comprehensive view of the world in which they live. Earth Science

From geothermal energy deep within its core to the rocks and minerals that lie on its surface, the earth is the focus of this engaging high school science course. Students will enjoy digging into interactive lessons that examine the changing face of the planet. Lessons include the study of geochemical cycles, earthquakes and volcanoes, the earth's resources, the effects of weather, atmospheric cycles, and the earth's place in the solar system. Health

This engaging, one semester health course was created just for Christian high school students with an emphasis on the topics that not only interest them, but cover essential information they need to make decisions that could affect their physical, mental, and social health for years to come. Beginning with an exploration of the systems of the human body and life cycle, the course examines nutrition and fitness, love and emotions, safety and first aid, drug use, and sexually transmitted disease. The course units include text-based lessons, on and off-computer exercises, special projects, learning games, quizzes, and tests that appeal to today's digital generation.
